Accessibility
We want everyone in Ward 66 to be able to use this site, on any phone or computer.
What we aim for
This site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
- Works on screens from 320 pixels wide upwards, and with browser zoom up to 400%.
- Everything can be used with a keyboard. A “Skip to main content” link appears on the first Tab press.
- FAQ answers open and close with Enter or Space, and announce whether they are expanded.
- The image viewer closes with Esc and moves between images with the arrow keys.
- Every image has a text description. Campaign graphics are described in full.
- Animations are switched off if your device asks for reduced motion.
- Source types are written out in words, not shown by colour alone.
Known limitations
- The campaign graphics are pictures of text. Their full wording is provided in their descriptions and in the priorities section.
- The FAQ search, document index and question form need JavaScript.
